
Gabrielė Bekerytė

Lithuanian pianist Gabrielė Bekerytė started playing piano at the age of 6 at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts in VIlnius. In 2014 she went on to study at the Purcell School in London, UK where she received a full scholarship. After Gabrielė finished school in 2016, she started her Bachelor ‘s (Honours) studies at the Royal Academy of Music and graduated in 2020. Gabrielė is currently studying at Universität der Künste Berlin, Germany.
Throughout her years of playing Gabrielė has been a very versatile pianist and has performed extensively as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician. As a soloist and chamber musician she has received multiple awards in Lithuania, Belgium, Germany, Italy and UK. She has performed in venues in her homeland and across Europe, some of them include National Philharmonic Hall in Kaunas, Wigmore Hall, Milton Court, Saint-Martins-on-the-Fields, St John Smith’s Square in London, the Fazioli Hall in Sacile and others. In 2019 she performed Prokofiev’s 3rd Piano Concerto under the baton of Daniel Capps at Duke’s Hall at the Royal Academy of Music. In summer of 2023 together with Baltic Sea Philharmonic and Kristjan Jarvi she performed G. Pelecis Concertino Bianco at the Philharmonie Berlin, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and other venues. In November 2023 she also performed E. Grieg’s Piano Concerto in Meistersingerhalle Nürnberg and Stadthalle Mühlheim and later that year in May she performed it in the Hong Kong Arts Festival.

Since 2017 she has been an active member of the Baltic Sea Philharmonic orchestra where she has performed across Europe and outside in some of the most famous venues such as Konzerthaus, Philharmonie in Berlin, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Kurhaus in Wiesbaden, Kursaal in Merano, Dubai Opera, Emirates Palace in UAE. She has also worked and played in recordings, such as Max Richter’s “Exiles”.
In 2022 she was selected to take part in the European Chamber Music Association Festival and masterclasses in Tallinn Music Academy with Ieva Erika Eriksonaitė. The same year she also got invited to be a part of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival orchestra where she performed as an orchestral pianist and a chamber musician with the members of the orchestra. In 2023 after passing auditions Gabrielė was invited to participate in the European Union Youth Orchestra tours and in 2024 in the summer tour with the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. Over these years she has performed across Europe in countries such as Poland, Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Greece, Germany, Italy, Austria and others.
Since March 2024 Gabrielė has been a part of the “Freie Kunst” musician pool and has been performing extensively as a soloist and chamber music musician in venues across Germany, Sweden, Latvia and Estonia.
In December 2025 Gabrielė had chance to perform as a soloist E. Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor among other works in the prestigious venues such as the Great Hall of the Elbphilhamonie Hamburg, as well in Musik-und Kongresshalle, Lübeck as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival.
Throughout Gabrielė’s years of playing she studied with Jūratė Teresė Karosaitė, Tatiana Sarkissova, Mei-Ting Sun, Gintaras Januševičius, Jurgis Karnavičius, Lucas Bondeel. She has also been an active participant in masterclasses with Dmitri Alexeev, Bernard d’Ascoli, Joanna MacGregor, Pascal Devoyon, Ian Fountain and others.
